(nice to meet you)
For the longest time, I thought I was named after the pocket of time between night and day in which the sun and the stars briefly share the sky, but turns out “Xingchen” is the phonetic translation of Cincinnati, Ohio, my birthplace. Yep, my parents went literal. I prefer metaphors, but I still appreciate how all my names represent the different worlds that I inhabit, as well as the bridges I’ve built between them.
I hope to continue to build these bridges and connections between all of my interests, from pencil-and-paper art and graphic design, to healthcare and economics, and to social change and entrepreneurship.
My name is Tracey X. Fu, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan that studied public policy & economics.
